Statens tjänstepensionsverk (SPV) has selected Asysco and Fujitsu to migrate its IBM mainframe

We are very happy to announce that Statens tjänstepensionsverk (SPV), the Swedish National Government Employee Pensions Board, has selected Asysco and Fujitsu to migrate its IBM mainframe to a Microsoft environment.

Their IBM z/OS mainframes, developed in Microfocus Enterprise Developer Suite, running COBOL/CICS/DB2 applications, will be migrated to a Microsoft .NET based x86 infrastructure.

This migration project will be done together with our partner Fujitsu, whom we previously worked together with in the successful modernization project at STA (Transportstyrelsen) in Sweden.

Our ability to migrate to .Net and C# and reusing the proven experiences from STA, were the key reasons for selecting Fujitsu and Asysco.

Competence skills, lack of available hosting suppliers of IBM mainframe within Swedish border, hard to build new self-service applications in order to meet new market demands were among the key reasons that made SPV decide to migrate to a future proof environment.

The project has started 1st of April 2019.
